12. SMS Communications

12.1. How Patients Opt In

Patients choose whether to receive text messages through separate, optional choices on our patient intake form, completed on paper or a tablet. Patients can choose service texts, promotional texts, both, or neither. Providing a mobile number or agreeing to these Terms and Conditions does not by itself constitute SMS consent. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of receiving care or making a purchase.

12.2. Service Texts

Patients who choose service texts may receive appointment confirmations and reminders, notices that eyeglasses or contact lenses are ready for pickup, and other updates related to their care or orders.

12.3. Promotional Texts

Patients who separately choose promotional texts may receive birthday greetings, special offers, and promotions from Doc Vision Eye Care Centers, LLC. Choosing service texts does not enroll a patient in promotional texts.
